First Gear: Half-Day Safety
You're looking to master the core fundamentals of driving sciences, perhaps because you are a new driver, you are an apprehensive driver or you simply want to brush up on your driving skills. This abbreviated class, offered on Wednesdays and Saturdays, will give you the theoretical and practical skills you need to bring to the road and any driving situation.
Second Gear: Full-Day Safety
Our Second Gear program is suited to everyone who would like to advance their skills to the next level of safety. In this full-day class, we teach accident avoidance techniques and give you a new perspective on how to handle slippery conditions. Thousands of drivers, young and old, have taken this class to improve their ability to control a vehicle in slippery conditions. We offer Second Gear seven days a week.
Third Gear: Performance Day 1
This performance class is for those who wish to get the most out of their vehicle in all driving conditions. In addition to teaching you to properly control a vehicle in a low-grip situation, we also pass along the tricks and techniques used by the world's greatest rally drivers.
Forth Gear: Performance Day 2
Fourth Gear builds on the performance driving skills gained in Third Gear and adds many new proactive rally-based techniques. You will learn advanced skills used by world class rally drivers.
Fifth Gear: Two-Day Performance Program: Fastest Ride on Ice
Combining the Center's Third and Fourth Gear programs in a single, two-day workshop, this comprehensive approach with our senior instructors teaches the advanced skills used by world class rally drivers. You will learn the 'Scandinavian Flick' as well as other cornering, acceleration, and braking techniques. You will acquire enhanced balance and control whether you drive a front-, rear-, or all-wheel drive vehicle. We provide plenty of practice sessions so you can refine your newly learned skills to an instinctual level. Limit 10 students.
Sixth Gear: Corporate Programs|Private Instruction|Track Rental
Help achieve your group or company goals at America's finest ice track facility. We can design programs to fit a variety of your firm's needs. The programs are founded in winter driving instruction, but can be tailored to achieve additional company objectives including team building, employee motivation, employee rewards, conflict management, strategic planning, and team leadership training. Programs can be held at our facility or at any site that has sufficient area for your firm's requirements.
We offer personalized one-on-one training for drivers who would like to further improve their skills or arrange specialized training. Prior completion of one of our standard courses is a prerequisite. Please call for pricing.
