Celebrate music, the arts and more this summer in the Colorado Rockies
Dallas News Article, June 25 2010

In this cow-meets-condo community, when they hold a hot-air balloon festival, it's called a rodeo.

Like cowboys saddling at sunrise, more than 40 balloonists rise early and head for the launch site. Early-rising spectators can wander among the craft and chat with pilots who hail from as far away as California and Florida. Before the first venti of Starbucks is finished, rising envelopes of hot air dot the Yampa Valley sky in a Crayola orgy of bright color.

When the balloons begin to land, it's time to head to West Lincoln Park for Steamboat's Art in the Park. Here, artists from around the nation sell their work. There's also food to buy and, in the well-established Colorado tradition, live tunes from local musicians to enjoy.
