If you enjoyed the RIDE 4 YELLOW, you’ll love this news. Just released, a second event has just been scheduled for Saturday, March 31th, 2012. A gala evening is also planned for event participants on Friday the 30th.
Grab your best skiing/boarding buddies and sign up as a team, or join as an individual and have the opportunity to ski/ride with others who share your same passion. Teams will be grouped by abilities levels to enjoy a day on the slopes of the Steamboat Ski Area, led by Olympian/World Cup and local experts guides. The whole day will be based around points awarded for lift rides and visits to notable locations on the resort that are sure to provide fun and excitement for all! Bronze, Silver and Gold medals will be awarded based on performance.
- Ride every chairlift on the mountain
- Complete the NASTAR course
- Obtain the most vertical feet
- Ride Maverick’s (half-pipe & skier/boarder cross course)
- Visit key landmarks
- Venture down expert terrain

Registration is open through Ski4Yellow.com to the first 200 participants who commit to fundraising a minimum of $500 and pay a registration fee of $75 which includes the Friday evening Gala Affair, skiing, riding and lunch on Saturday as well as event memorabilia. Registrants can form teams, or individuals will be grouped into teams for the Mountain Challenges. Registration along with a complete list of participation costs, donation requirements, sponsor levels and challenges is available through Ski4Yellow.
The Inaugural Ski 4 Yellow event scheduled for March 26, 2011 is a chance to ski/ride in the fight against cancer. Half of the proceeds from the event will benefit the LIVESTRONG (Lance Armstrong) Foundation, and half of the proceeds will be granted through The 4 Yellow Foundation, a non-profit organization formed for the benefit of Steamboat Springs' community members and organizations affected by and that provide services related to cancer.
