STAY TUNED FOR 2012 EVENTS AND LODGING SPECIALS The Steamboat Ski Resort has announced a jam-packed closing weekend festival to celebrate the end of the 2010/2011 ski season, dubbing it the Springalicious Festival. The event starts with Free Bud Light Rocks the Boat Concerts on April 2 & 10, 2011 and don't miss the closing weekend activities of Cardboard Classic, hilarious pond skimming, great happy hours and big bang celebration.

Steamboat Cardboard Classic Steamboat's annual rite of spring involves six key ingredients: glue, string, water-based paint, duct tape, masking tape, and cardboard. Put it all together in the most imaginative construction you can think of and you have yourself a reason to be in Steamboat Springs Annual Cardboard Classic. This year the crafts will be judged on most creative, best individual craft, potpourri, and best reproduction
Race begins at 11:00 am with 17 & under crafts
18 & up age group immediately follows
The race is best viewed from Stampede run at the Steamboat Ski Area base.
Award Ceremony at Bear River Bar & Grill immediately following race.

2nd Annual Splashdown Pond Skim at the Gondola base area Splashdown competition begins at 1:00pm. The Splashdown Pond Skimming Championships brings brave (and slightly crazy) skiers and riders in costume with a dream - of crossing the icy pond successfully - and, if they're lucky, with style! Best viewing is at the base of the Steamboat Ski Area at the Steamboat Gondola and new Umbrella Bar.
Bud Light Rocks the Boat FREE Concert Do not miss this incredible concert with two bands- Katchafire followed by The Wailers. All concerts begin at 3:00 pm, unless otherwise noted, in Gondola Square at the base of the Steamboat Ski Resort.
