Alpine Skiing

The Billy Kidd 3-Day Race Camps set the standard for advanced skill development. We focus on your carving and racing skills and show you how that can help your all-mountain and all-terrain skiing. Using simple coaching methods and video analysis these camps aim to improve your skiing skills. Three day camps include lunch, 6 hours of coaching per day, and a DVD to anchor your learning experience. Race camps available to ages First Grade to Adult level 6-8.

Airboarding

Airboarding is the newest upgraded version of sledding. The airboard is like an inflated sled however not like the average sled, the airboard has the ability to carve turns down the slope by adjusting your body weight. The faster you go the better control you have. It's like body boarding on snow! Steamboat's Boardom Bound will show you how.

Steamboat's Ski Touring Center is located just a few minutes away from the ski mountain and features 30 kilometers of groomed ski trails winding through the aspens and along picturesque Fish Creek. Or learn to kick and glide away from the crowds and into the backcountry with a friendly, knowledgeable guide who will go at your speed and ability.

Steamboat’s indoor ice rink offers skate rentals and music to skate by.  Public skate hours are limited, so call our concierge for this week’s schedule.

  • Admission is $7.00/Adult, $6.00/Child (Under 5 years Free).
  • Skate rentals are $4.00.

Mavericks Freestyle Pipe and Park Clinic Lessons: Develop your rail sliding skills, spins and grabs in Steamboat's "Maverick" Super Pipe and Terrain Park. Our freestyle instructors have specific training both in house and through PSIA/AASI to help you progress safely and effectively in the Park. Our parks are specifically designed for skill development.


Luge (Go Tubing!)

Tube at historic Howelsen Hill in the heart of downtown Steamboat, where Olympic hopefuls still train today. Ride the “Magic Carpet” up the beginner ski hill, jump on an inner tube and careen down the hill in an exciting ride to the bottom.  Then do it all over (and over and over) again!

The best way to learn how to ski or snowboard like a champion is to learn from one. The Steamboat Ski & Snowboard School offers a full line of ski lessons & snowboard lessons to suit all ages and ability levels, including tips and tricks on how to master the moguls!

Snowmobiling

If you're into the X Games more than the Olympic games, hop on a snowmobile for the ride of your life! Steamboat Springs is a snowmobilers' paradise, with nearly 150 miles of trails nearby in the surrounding Routt National Forest. The 50 mile Continental Divide trail is one of the countries most legendary rides.
