ResortQuest Steamboat Group Leader Testimonials

  • August, 2008: Trappeur's Crossing Resort: Debbie's Testimonial (Steamboat School Board)

Thank you so much to Kiki for taking such good care of our school board on Friday and Saturday. I talked to the board president today, and she said Kiki and her crew did an amazing job of making sure the meeting went smoothly. She said she was very impressed with all the care and attention they were given. Thank you for going above and beyond. We will be sure and keep ResortQuest in mind for future events.
  • February 2008, Trappeur's Crossing Resort: Ward's Testimonial (LA Dental Association)

Thank you Liz for your terrific hospitality during our recent conference.  Please let everyone at Trappeur's know that they greatly exceeded our expectations, and we'll definitely be back.
  • March 2007, Torian Plumt: Tony's Testimonial (Ski Breeze of Hampton Roads, Ski Club)

Liz, I tried to see you several times during my stay at the Torian but you were unavailable.  I did want to personally thank you for you assistance and making my chores as trip leader easy from the lodging and ground transportation standpoint.  My group (SKI Breeze) thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations and great staff at the Torian Plum. Each member said they will stay there again when returning to Steamboat.  Also, we will definitely consider using Resort Quest for future lodging requirements. With that said, please note that next year’s NBS Summit gathering will be in Breckenridge in January 2008 and I know you guys have properties there; got any recommendations?
  • January 2006, Trappeur's Crossing Resort: E.J's Testimonial (New Smyrna Beach Ski Club)

Wow.  Our group had an awesome time.  I cannot say enough about the Champagne Lodge, Trappeur's amenities center and everyone with ResortQuest.  You can't imagine how good it felt as the group leader to hear everyone rave about your facilities and employees.  Please pass this email on to the folks in charge of the shuttles, housekeeping and front desk and anyone else involved with our stay.  Also, please pass it on to your boss.

You seldom encounter a lodging service where you never hear the word no, but that's exactly what it felt like for us last week.

Also, everything you promised, you delivered.  And that is rare as well.  I think I told you before we booked the group that we seldom stayed off slope and we were nervous about having to shuttle to and from the slopes, shops and restaurants but that became a non-issue right away.

I've got to also commend you on the check-in.  Walking off the bus, picking up your key and going straight to your unit was terrific.  As a comparison, last year we went to Copper.  the bus had to stop at an office separate from the lodging; I had to get off and run somebody down to find our packets; then the bus dropped us at our lodge with no staff to help us find our rooms or lug baggage and only one operating elevator.  You guys have it figured out, they don't.

Thanks again for everything.  We will definitely use ResortQuest again (I see that they also manage one of my favorite spots - the River Mountain Lodge in Breck).

  • February 2005. Trappeur’s Crossing Resort: Elaine’s Testimonial (Tri Valley Ski Club)
I just wanted to send a short note to thank you so much formaking our stay at Trappeur's Crossing a wonderful, pleasant experience.

You went out of your way to take care of any problems or concerns and I truly appreciate it. In addition, I would like to let you know that the entire staff - front desk, housekeeping, van drivers, etc. were the best! They all were willing-to-help at all times and with a smile. I've run many club trips and your service was definitely outstanding and out-of-the-ordinary. In fact, it is the first time I've felt compelled to leave an extra tip - please let them all know how much we enjoyed our stay.
  • February 2005. Bronze Tree & Torian Plum: Jim’s Testimonial (South Mississippi Ski Club)
Our group has a fabulous time at Steamboat and your accommodations were a big part of that so I wanted to say thanks.

I can't say enough about the efficiency and friendliness of the entire staff. The check in process was the smoothest we've ever encountered, the front desk was friendly and helpful, the private shuttle service was outstanding as well as the cleaning staff.  And everyone was thankful for the hot tubs after a hard day of skiing.

Thanks to you and your team for making our trip such a great success.
  • February 2003. Torian Plum: Laurie's Testimonial (Orlando Ski Club)

Wow! How can I begin to say thanks for all you did to make our trip to Steamboat one of the best ever?
Torian Plum is, without a doubt, the best service oriented property we have ever stayed at in ski country.
Everyone at TP went out of their way to accommodate our every request, especially you!

told all my travelers on the way home what I meant to say Friday night at the awards ceremony ... that although they thank and praise me for all the work in putting the trip together, without you and Devon working hand in hand with me it would not have happened.
Thank you again, and again ...
  • February 2003. Torian Plum: Jake's Testimonial (Excerpts only)(Orlando Ski Club)

    Dear folks:

Here is my itemized appraisal of all things Steamboat, as viewed from the
perspective of "a man of the people," and only slightly hazed through the
snot and green chunks I was coughing up later in the week

First off, the main quibble. Getting there. This can be dismissed out of hand because most of the complainants took the most circuitous, difficult, long and time consuming route because it was
cheaper. People are forever ordering grilled cheese sandwiches and then
harping because there's no ham on them. It was, however, THE thing most gigged on our trip evaluation forms. You need to know what makes the children cry, even if it is only the dark.

First A+ of the trip was the arrival. It could not have been easier. Torian Plum could not have been better. We had nothing left in us, they didn't ask for any. Laurie facilitated this, but Liz was there ensuring that nobody got in our way and that the job was done. One bag was misplaced, calls
were made and it was found immediately. You go, Liz. You go, T.P.

Ski rental gets an A. They knew we were coming and took care of us. I was in and out in five minutes and everybody was smiling.

If God ever came right out and decided to make a mountain just for me, this might be it. I could ski 2 O'Clock, 3 O'clock and Closet until my britches melted -- come to think of it, I think we did one day. I can find nothing to complain about about the hill.

.... Shuttle Service from Torian Plum. A+. Front desk. A+. Phrase most heard during the week: "What can WE do to make this better for YOU?" Second most-heard phrase. "It'll be right there!" I LOVE this place.

One quick anecdote. I got up early on Monday and went across the street to buy a USA Today. I didn't realize the TP provided those. When I saw the guy delivering them HE OFFERED TO HAVE MY FIFTY CENTS REFUNDED BECAUSE HE DIDN'T GET THERE IN TIME.

Did I mention that I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!! A suggestion: Have the Torian Plum train the bartenders for the town....

....Hot tubs at Torian Plum. A+. Exercise facility. A+. Computer room. A+. Bilingual containers of hydrating body lotion, tres magnifique...

... Your people. Add one plus to the rating for us. It means the world having Liz there to fix any little glitch, running interference for us. Same for Dee-Von. Everybody loved the chicks. Tell your bosses that making an appearance on the mountain with us is ESSENTIAL.  If somebody has something on their mind, they'll say it then instead of taking it home to stew about and then telling their friends, I wouldn't go back there, my bedside lamp wasn't bright enough.

Being there. Skiing with us. Listening. Acting like you like us (nobody will ever convince me that 14-year-old Devon actually ENJOYED dragging my tired old butt around the hill, but she did a "Harry Met Sally" class job of pretending). Making us feel welcome. Making us want to come back. Come to think of it, add one more plus to that ranking.

    Thanks.
